To be honest, we had not heard of ZEsay.com until recently, when a few users of our site suggested that we review the service. In fact, the company has been in business for either 4 or 6 years, depending upon which page on the company website a visitor reads. In general, we were impressed with the website content. It was clear, well-written, and organized well, even though there were a lot or redundancies. Of courses, we used many other factors in developing this review – what customers have to say on other review sites and social media, samples, policies, pricing and other benefits, and, as usual the results of our order of a short college-level research paper.

Services

ZEssay offers both academic and business writing. There is a full listing of the writing products housed within the order form. But, in both instances, the lists are comprehensive. Academic writing ranges from basic high school essays through Ph.D. dissertations and easily covers any type of writing assignment a student might receive. Business writing is also quite comprehensive – reports, plans, proposals, copywriting, as well as resumes, CVs and cover letters. In both categories editing and proofreading are also offered.

Our focus is always on quality of products, so that we can give consumers an objective picture before they make a decision to use a writing service. And this is where things turned to disappointment. Here is what we have found:

• The site-contained testimonials are all very positive, and we expect this to be the case
• Off-site reviews and comments are not so glowing. Customers’ complaints ranged from poor writing, to outdated or inferior resources, to difficulty getting revisions, even though that is a free benefit offered on the website.
• There are no sample writings contained on the site. For a company that has been in business at least 4 years, there should be some samples for potential customers to review
• The research paper we ordered and received contained many of the same issues other customers identified. While the company boasts only native English-speaking writers, that was clearly not the case with our product. Poor sentences structure, mistakes in verb tenses, and incorrect word usage were common. In our opinion, we had an ESL writer.

Prices

We found prices in the high-average range. A basic high school essay, with a 15-day deadline is $17.55/page. The range moves up to $47.73/page for Ph.D. level writing with an urgent deadline. This particular price is in the low-average range.

In terms of business writing, customers can choose standard or premium rates, and a 15-day deadline ranges from $22.16/page for standard to $42.78/page for premium. The paper we ordered, an 8-page work with 4 resources and a 7-day deadline, costed us $291.65 before the 20% discount.

While there so not seem to be any permanent discount plans, the company periodically offers a 20% discount for first-time users, and there ie evidently a discount once 50 orders have been made. When we asked customer support about discounts, we were told that those are often offered individually if a customer contacts that department and requests one.

Customer Support

We were able to contact the customer support department vis telephone and live chat. We specifically inquired about Ph.D. dissertations; however, the agents we spoke with did not seem to have a great deal of detailed information about dissertations. We were told to complete an order form and that we would then be contacted once they had found a writer for us.

Customer support agents are friendly and certainly try to be helpful. They simply do not have the training to answer detailed questions.

Conclusion

Overall, we are disappointed in the quality of products that ZEssay.com delivers, as are other customers. Our other concerns include the lack of any published policies – something we believe is important for any writing service to have – and the lack of a BBB membership.

Quality of products is the other major concern – it just isn’t there. ESL high school students may find the quality acceptable, but beyond that, we would not recommend using this service. We have given this company an overall rating of “Fair-to-Poor.” There are other service that deliver higher quality for less cost.
