The following is our review of Assignment Geek. They have recently generated interest among our audience members, and several people have asked us to investigate this writing service. As always, this involves ordering a product, reading customer reviews, researching the company, checking their educational blog, and learning as much as we can about their online reputation.
About
There isn’t much information to be found about Assignment Geek. Our professional writing team was able to find other reviews, which were largely negative. We checked the BBB and they are not registered. There is no location information on the company’s website or elsewhere.
Unfortunately, we had to rely largely on Assignment Geek’s website to figure out exactly what kind of business this is. Several things raised red flags with us. One of these is their claim that they can deliver a thesis or dissertation within a day. These are complex documents that require months of research, creation of research instruments, submission of a research proposal for approval, the delivery of pages and pages of writing, and an eventual defense of findings.
There are only two possibilities here. Either the employees of this organization don’t know what a thesis or dissertation is, or they are selling stolen theses and dissertations. Neither is acceptable.. To say the least, this writing service was off to a rocky start with us.
Services
According to their order form, they offer original academic writing. Their list included essays, research papers, the above mentioned thesis and dissertations, homework, lab reports, etc. For business writing their offerings are pretty standard. They include articles, case studies, proposals, web content, and other common offerings.
We placed an order for an essay for a college sophomore. We chose a 14 day deadline. The topic was quite simple with no real research needed. Unfortunately, even with such a softball assignment, the paper we received was very low quality. Their were excessive spelling, grammar, and formatting issues.
Prices
We paid just over 23 dollars per page for our paper. This is nearly ten dollars more per page than similar writing services in some cases. Given our poor experience, this price is way too high. There is a space on the order form to enter a discount code. Unfortunately, we were not offered such a code, nor were we able to find one elsewhere.
Customer Support
Customer support here crosses a line from helpful into spammy and nearly stalkerish. Before we completed our order form, we were receiving emails and phone calls from support representatives. Then, there was the ever present chat box.
Oddly enough, when we contacted support with our complaints about the essay we received, they were much less interested in communicating with us. This was a very disappointing experience.
Conclusion
To be frank, once we realized this was likely a scam business, we nearly decided not to bother ordering an essay. However, in order to deliver a thorough review and give them a fair shot, we decided to proceed. Unfortunately, rather than redeeming themselves, they failed at every turn to deliver. We give this service an absolute thumbs down.
