Pro-Essay-Writer.com is an academic writing service that has gotten the attention of many students. Is that attention worthwhile, or should busy students look somewhere else? Our review should answer these questions and more.

About

We started this review by doing some research so that we could learn as much about Pro Essay Writer as we could. To start, we took a look around their website. They claim to be based out of Detroit Michigan. However, beyond finding that the address they give does exist, we did not find any evidence that a business by that name is located at that address. We also found no reference to the company on the BBB website. Although to be fair, not all businesses choose to purchase a membership there. Another step that we took was to find other customer reviews of this writing service. There weren’t very  many of them. Those that we found were quite mixed.

Our final step was to place an order for a college level essay. We then evaluated the final copy of that essay for quality. Along the way, we interacted with customer service. Our thoughts and experiences are below.

Services

There is no service page giving detail about the writing services that are offered here. That being said, it became clear when placing an order that they focus on academic writing. We placed an order for an essay. However, they also offer research papers, coursework, term papers, reviews, lab reports, and a variety of other papers.

We only learned about these services when we placed an order. They are not posted anywhere else. Sadly this is another example of the website not meeting their customer’s needs.

Prices

We were charged 14 dollars per page for our paper. This is definitely in line with industry pricing standards. However, because writing quality and web experience were so bad, the price hardly seemed like a bargain.

We did look for discounts. As we navigated the website and worked to place our order, we did see some offers for discounts. However, these came through as pop up ads. Unfortunately many of these did not work. The pages didn’t load and we did not receive any coupon or promo codes. Worse, there is not a place on their website to look for discounts.

Customer Support

We interacted with customer service on  multiple occasions. Our intention was to explore how they treated us as customers throughout the entire process of our placing an order, receiving it, and addressing any issues. On a positive note, they were always very polite. However, we we weren’t always sure if we were dealing with staff or possibly an answering service as knowledge of policies and services varied widely.

When we received our paper, we had significant issues with its overall quality. We contacted customer support to see what could be done to correct the mistakes on our paper. Everyone we spoke to was very apologetic. That was  nice. Unfortunately, nobody seemed empowered to actually help us with our problem.  Ultimately, we did not receive any revisions or offers of a refund or discount.

Conclusion

It should be clear by now that we simply cannot endorse this writing service. Their faults lie in two very important categories. First and most importantly they simply failed to deliver a paper that was acceptable. It was not written at a college level. There were more than an acceptable number of mistakes. We also found citation issues that could have resulted in an accusation of academic dishonesty. These things alone make a writing service unworthy of consideration.

The second factor, while not as urgent as the writing quality, is still important. Every step we took to navigate the pro-essay-writer.com website was a struggle. The site itself is slow to load. We encountered scripting errors. Worst of all, the process of placing an order was very frustrating. Buttons and sliders were largely unresponsive. Then, when they did work, it was clear they were calibrated so badly that it was nearly impossible to select the options that we wanted.

If students are in need of quality writing services, we encourage them to look elsewhere. There are certainly some great, academic, writing services. This is simply not one of them.
