We’ve received emails and review submissions from some very opinionated students regarding the website, MyEssayWriting.com. Because of this, we decided to do some investigating to see what we could find out.  If you are considering using this service, keep reading. We hope you will come away well informed.

About

We were unable to find much information about this company. The about us page on the company website is nearly unintelligible. They also don’t provide any location information. We were able to determine that they are not registered with the BBB. Customer reviews, unfortunately swing widely negative, showing that they failed to establish a good online reputation. One site that tracks IP addresses indicates the company could be located in Austin, TX. However, we assume this is a rented server as the both the content writers for the website and the academic writers are clearly ESL.

Because the forms on this website are identical to the forms on several other websites, we suspect there is a single, offshore conglomerate operating writing services under several different names. This is of course a red flag.

Services

My Essay Writing offers both business and academic writing. Services they have include essays, proposals, web content, articles, research papers, business plans, case studies, research papers, thesis and dissertation work and more. For this review, we focused solely on academic writing.

In order to gauge writing quality, we opted to place an order for a college level essay. We chose a two week deadline, and picked a fairly light topic. Our reason for doing this is to gauge what they can do when given a garden variety, college paper. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. In spite of having two weeks to complete a paper that could have been done in several hours, they delivered an essay that was completely unacceptable. It went off topic, the wording was poor, and there were multiple spelling and grammar issues. This was in no way ready to be turned in for a grade.

Prices

We paid 21 dollars and change per page for our essay. This is slightly above average, but not awful. Had the paper been acceptable, we wouldn’t have much to complain about. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

We did ask for a discount code. The customer service representative claimed to have emailed one for 15% off. However, the code did not show up. We also looked online for coupons and did not find any. It would be nice if they  had more information on discounts as well.

Customer Support

Unfortunately, customer support was largely unhelpful. They were unable to answer questions on many occasions, and failed to deliver on their guarantees. When we sought out a revision or refund, we were given the runaround, and then given the silent treatment. In our opinion, there is a lot that is lacking here.

Conclusion

Sad to say, the combination of poor quality, dubious reputation, and lacking customer service lead us to only one possible conclusion. Students who are in search of academic writing help should strongly consider looking elsewhere. You will not get the service you deserve here.
