Elections in The USA: Official Scholarship Essay Contest

There’s no denying it! The recent elections in the United States have unfolded in unexpected ways. In fact, election related controversies are being covered by media outlets around the world. People in virtually every country are eagerly awaiting the finalization of the presidential election as the results will have a global impact.

Now, we want to know what you think! College students are more politically active than ever, and many of you are first time voters. Your thoughts on this historic election are important to us! We want you to share your opinions and have created this scholarship essay contest to motivate you to do just that.

What’s The Topic?

The essay topic is “Elections in The USA.” We’ve intentionally given you a broad topic so that you can write about something that is meaningful to you. We welcome your writing on the presidential election, congressional campaigns, even your local elections!

What Are The Rules

Let’s start with the obvious. We want your unique perspective. Make sure you send us an original essay that hasn’t been published anywhere else. That includes your own blog!

Next, we want you to dig deep. Your essay should be 2-3 pages long. Give us those juicy details and thoughtful insights.

We’ll need plenty of time to read your submissions. So, get those essays in as soon as you can. Deadline: June 23, 2021. Send your writing to maggiehanna@onlinewritersrating.com . We’ll select the winners and send out notifications by June 30, 2021.

Now for the final catch. Write about your experiences! Tell us how you participated in the political process and how it impacted you. Here are some questions for inspiration:

  • Did the election cause conflict in your household? How did you handle it?
  • Were you impacted by voter suppression? How did that make you feel?
  • Did you volunteer for any campaigns or take part in protests? What was that like?
  • Was there something that caused you to change your vote? What was it?
  • Are you a first time voter? What were your thoughts as you went through this process for the first time?

Whatever you write about, be detailed and opinionated! We may publish your essay for others to read! That’s in addition to the $500 in scholarship cash that’s up for grabs!
